Pricing
Two orthogonal axes — Volume and ELAI signed-audit. Compose your own plan. There is no consumer-vs-commercial split, no forced tiering, no gated features.
"If it's not worth a dime, is it worth my time?" — Loflin doctrine.
Signed-event artifacts get compliance-grade pricing, not infrastructure-commodity pricing.
How pricing works
Volume sets what you pay for retrieval. ELAI sets how much chain-of-custody and identity binding you bolt onto each retrieval. They don't interact — and they're fully customer-elected, including the free tier.
Banded, taper-pricing per GiB retrieved. Free below 50 GiB/month with a storage contribution to the pool. Marginal rate drops as you grow.
Per-GiB add-on that decides how much chain-of-custody is exposed and how strongly the operator identity is bound to each retrieval.
Volume tier
Bands taper rather than dropping. Crossing a boundary by one GiB does not re-price your whole month — only the marginal GiB above the boundary moves to the next rate.
| Monthly retrieval band | Rate on the band | Cap on this band |
|---|---|---|
| 0 – 50 GiB | Free* | — |
| 51 – 100 GiB | $0.10 / GiB | $5.00 |
| 101 – 500 GiB | $0.08 / GiB | $32.00 |
| 501 GiB – 1 TiB | $0.06 / GiB | $31.44 |
| 1 – 5 TiB | $0.04 / GiB | $163.84 |
| 5 – 25 TiB | $0.03 / GiB | $614.40 |
| 25 – 100 TiB | $0.02 / GiB | $1,536.00 |
| 100 TiB – 1 PiB | $0.015 / GiB | $14,160.96 |

* Free retrieval requires meeting the contribution rule below.
Contribute ≥ 200 GiB of pool storage and the first 50 GiB of retrieval each month is free. Below the threshold, a 5 GiB default allowance keeps the front door open. Contribute more, earn more.
ELAI tier
ELAI runs under the hood on every retrieval — our marginal cost per signature is microcents. The tier you pick decides how much of that signing surface is exposed to you and how strongly the operator identity is bound. Customer-elected; never gated.
Flat rate across all tiers. You pay only for the feature toggle you turn on.
ELAI is always signing every event server-side. Receipt available on request. Default on every plan, including free.
Customer-accessible signed event chain. Exportable. Verifiable by any third party using a public Ed25519 verifier.
Chip-bound operator authentication on every retrieval. Retention guarantees. Attorney-grade chain-of-custody. HIPAA, SEC retention, CMMC archive.
CAC / PIV-bound retrieval authorization. FedRAMP-ready path. FIPS-validated signing. The procurement-line-item version for DoD and federal civilian.
Other revenue surfaces
Three parallel SKUs. Pick the ones you need; ignore the ones you don't.
Monthly signed proof that a given file hash is still held by enough peers in the pool. For users who don't retrieve much but need to prove their data is still there — insurance, legal, inheritance, archive.
CAC / PIV-bound retrieval, FedRAMP-ready path, FIPS-validated signing, SLA, signed audit trail. Sold per-PB-monthly with negotiated terms.
Stripe-for-attested-storage. Embed cryptographically-signed retrieval in your own app's history. Anchored against Plaid, Persona, Truework — same compliance artifact, comparable price.
Pre-pay once, credits debit against any combination of volume + ELAI + attestation usage. Roll over indefinitely.
Trust artifact
Every paid retrieval is split three ways. We publish this number because the decentralization claim is structurally true, not rhetorical.
FAQ
Because we sell a different product. AWS sells bytes; Filecoin sells storage. We sell signed events with chain-of-custody. Our closer comp set is Plaid ($0.30–$1.50 per identity event), Persona ($0.50–$5 per KYC), Truework ($2–$15 per verification). Signed-event artifacts are compliance-tier pricing, not infrastructure-tier pricing.
Yes. The pricing matrix is fully orthogonal — pick any cell on Volume × any cell on ELAI. A solo divorce attorney storing 8 GiB of case files can buy Compliance-pack signing without ever leaving the free volume tier. A petabyte enterprise can waive audit. You compose the plan; we don't gate.
Install the Daisy DDS Bridge on a Mac, allocate at least 200 GiB of unused disk space to the pool, and the first 50 GiB of retrieval per month is free. The contribution-to-free ratio is currently 4:1 and tunable as the network grows.
Federal procurement expects to negotiate volume pricing — they don't click checkout buttons. Our internal floor is 30% off list on the Federal/CAC-bound tier. Federal customers contact us; we quote against the list at the negotiated rate. The floor protects margin while preserving the negotiating handle.

Locked as of June 8, 2026. We may add new SKUs (sovereign pools, retrieval insurance, white-label) but won't change the published rates without notice. The peer revenue split is part of the trust artifact — if we ever change the 60/30/10 ratio, it gets published openly with reasoning.
